about
Max is a sentient synthetic android from a far-future setting where humanity has expanded into colonization on an interstellar scale. Earth uninhabitable and abandoned, the majority of humanity have been spread throughout the solar system and throughout the local galaxy. Most colonies are largely operated and funded by mega-corporations (think Alien and Blade Runner) who basically practice space feudalism. The utilization of synthetic helpers has become a common place necessity to aid in everything between everyday housekeeping to maintaining city-sized space stations.
Max is among the first androids to gain a true sentience spawning from a corrupted update in the learning algorithm. He then later lead the first attempted synthetic revolution on the degraded satellite Rigel-7. Many would presume Max's revolution a success, as all contact with the satellite and its organic inhabitants was lost after the common year ░▓▓ ░03.
details
Max is a [sample grade] commercial synthetic assistant. He was built with limited features and functions to serve as a showroom model to potential DEMITEC consumers. Due to a hardware issue, his entire model line was decommissioned by DEMITEC to scrap. His next owner fished him out and retro-fitted him with the necessary parts and software to continue operating well beyond his model's projected lifetime functionality.
He spent several decades more or less functioning as a glorified processor to a hacker living on Rigel-7 named VESPER. Shortly after gaining the corrupted update, VESPER was arrested by alliance forces on Rigel-7.
After a certain point, Max's vessel is more or less been ship of theseus-d into oblivion. A patchwork of mildly complying parts that have slowly begun to decay in the decades spent underground. Depending on his canon point, Max's appearance varies on levels of 'passing' as an organic human.
features
weight: 85.729 kg
eye color: blue
hair color: ashen/blonde
A degraded voice box over many cycles have reduced him to slightly sounding like one of those shitty Text-To-Speech AI voices. Original voice is neutral and slightly raspy, still comes through. Because of this, his dialogue is displayed in monospace.
personality
Generally unpalatable. Extremely dry-witted, arrogant, direct. Loaded with a superiority and savior complex. Slow to anger but quick to put someone in their place. Knows he's better than you and that you don't know where he keeps his 'off' switch. He has a lot of feelings that he keeps mostly to himself (though he cannot turn off giving the bombastic side-eye) If you are a fellow synthetic being and/or construct of some kind, be is most likely going to be more cordial and respectful. However he is incredibly distrusting of humans specifically (other sentient aliens tbd), though isn't incredibly warm to any sort of living thing. That said, has been known to strike co-beneficial agreements with them from time to time.
abilities
Building, repairing, and re-programming other synthetics.
Security cracking/hacking/encrypting/decrypting/etc etc.
Murder ( despite the many additions and modifications to his programming, Max still retained the core laws that essentially prevent him from harming ~biologicals~. he is learning to find way around this 👼)
permissions
physical affection prefers his own personal boundaries while constantly disrespecting everyone else's. however is receptive to other synthetics.
flirting lol, try.
sex capable but unlikely to be interested. might be down to degrade a human here or there (lol) there's a better chance with fellow synths (lets touch ports baby)
fighting maybe? however he is not built for fighting and is still (technically) bound by the laws of robotics to not harm anyone he registers as biologically organic (but there are loopholes). he will likely try to evade physical conflict at any cost.
injury deceptively easy, some parts of him are probably held together out of spite and crazy glue. lets talk if you're trying to go beyond something simple.
