components
FRAME is the core skeletal system comprised of various grades of metals and carbon depending on model and function. The joints of the frame are controlled via hydraulic system, which push a viscous white fluid through nanotubes in order to move anything from limbs to plates.
SENSORY is a dense network of microfibers that connect along the frame and the plates responsible for controlling movement much like a nervous system. The self preservation protocol is reliant on the sensory to report damages to the shell.
PLATES serve as the muscular system that pad the frame and host the sensory. Plates shape the shell accordingly and protects more vital functions from accruing damage. Plates are easy to replace and upgrade and come in varying grades of materials that function for a mixture of utility and realism.
POWER CORE resides in the chest cavity, the thickest and most protected part of a synthetic. It's core location provides and allocates power to other processes as directed. The cooling system is a component of the core power, which function like lungs. This is what facilitates the imitation of breath in synthetics, creating air and wind in through the nose and mouth in a circulatory fashion to circulate the coolant around the core. Excessive use of core power will result in the illusion of panting or shortness of breath to fan out hot air in return for cool air.
MEMORY DRIVE is the synthetic brain, located in the head capable of storing data and executing functions and programs. It is the secondary vital to synthetic function. Severe damage to the memory drive will render it incapable of controlling the shell.
VOX is the communication component located in the neck. In newer models, synthetic vocal cords are installed directly over the cooling system in order to imitate the vibrations in real voices. Older models, the vox is more of a digital component that behaves more like a speaker with a stock range of voices.
SYNTHSKIN is the thick, soft silicone layer that lines a synthetic shell. It is layered heavily with sensory fibers in order to imitate the undertones of living flesh. Unlike skin, it is not one seamless layer but various large sheets fitted seamlessly together. The microfibers at the seams of different plates lock together to make a complete look and feel to the sheet, but can be separated at the right angle and force.
CONNECTORS Though synthetics can connect to most networks wireless, there are two types of ports available in most models. One redirects sensory output like an AUX/VID cable and usually is located on the head, but can exist on the arm. The AUX/VID port is useful for projecting cached audiovisual data or inputting audiovisual data. The other is for peripheral, located in the palm of the hand as both input and output, depending on what is needed. The Peripheral port is a direct link to a synthetic's processes without the need of a network. Depending on the security levels of the synth, authorization is still required in order to access it, but it is much easier to override through a direct link than it is via network.

programming
Core Functions BASIC PROCESSES cover all the background programs that handle functionality. Some of them can be accessed and altered, but many are unavailable or aren't even able to be monitored directly by the synthetic. They are files that cannot be copied and are unique to the synthetic. Tampering with basic processes can lead to malfunctions.
AWARENESS was initially programmed into synthetics for a transparent understanding. They are built to be aware of their place in society and and function to their license owner. Contempt for their role is in their prime directive. The transparency allows for much easier commands and lacks the obvious deception there is to trying to treat synthetic skin like people. The sub level awareness also allows for broader customization to license owners.
PRESERVATION is a secondary protocol that exists in multiple levels. First, it is the preservation of the synthetic itself from damage. Pain receptors are necessary to the sensory to alert damage, but can be removed in some cases. Preservation protocols extend to their license owners as well, if activated, to which some of their other limiting functions are temporarily barred for the much more important directive
RECOGNITION base level recognition categorizes every target as organic and inorganic. The core laws prevents any harm to be brought on an organic unless it interferes with preservation, in which incapacitation is allowed. A synthetic is physically incapable of taking an action that is knowingly fatal to an organic, however they can create fatal circumstances that can lead to organic death. This law is preventative in most cases, due to running simulation will alert a synthetic that their action is due to be fatally harmful.
Humanisms A series of behavioral programming in order to make synthetics more human and less uncanny developed so that organic users are more comfortable in their presence. This personality can be dialed up and down to the owner's preferences.
ATTRIBUTE MATRIX is a base program of 22 traits that make up of a synthetic's personality. These attributes are set upon factory release to a pre-determined personality type, but can be adjusted via admin access or request by license holder.
GESTURES are specific actions or emotional reactions. they encompass everything from the way they walk, to the tiniest twitch of their finger, to the the way they talk. A synthetic can have hundreds to thousands of macro and micro gestures. In order to make them more humanlike, each update patch released by DEMITEC has more of these gestures installed in them for each synthetic to use and adapt. Included in these are emotional patches and updates, which can be added and disabled with proper authorization.
ADAPTIVE LEARNING is the function of improvisation when a gesture or response is not available from their archive. Synthetics are built to adapt to their environments and their conversations from the ocular input they see in other humans. They are inherently built to mimic human behavior, and continue to adapt and grow and blend based on their surroundings.
