REPLICANT GENERATION R-05 ![]() BRAND id.OS SERIES Organic Synthetic (prototype pending) Organic Surrogate (prototype pending) (this model has not been released for public or commercial use) LIFESPAN Up to 10 year cycles, may extend to 20 with good care and mild labor. |
components The corework of a replicant is similar to a synthetic in that a sturdier frame is built and can function autonomously at a base level if the flesh-layer is compromised. Like newer id.OS synthetic models, the frame is comprised of a Silicon-carbide compound that is very durable. Replicants are comprised of a silicone-based organic compound that behaves like a living cell. Through nano-programming controlled by the sensory, they make up nearly the entire biological structure of the replicant to mimic that of a human. The only difference is that the chemical is silicone-based instead of carbon-based. Through nano-programming they have organs and flesh and fluids that behave in the same manner. Because it is silicone-based matter, they reject foreign microbiological growth, essentially making them immune to infection or disease. All programming resides in the wetware brain, an artificial neural network suspended in a conductive viscous gel. The wetware controls every complex of programming in order for the body to function including memory and activating sensory. Unlike a synthetic, a replicant does not have ports, and cannot download information the way a synthetic can. The wetware brain does not contain any sort of network or driver with files that can be accessed and deleted. It is more a brain than a computer. One way for a replicant to gather massive amounts of information would be via uplink with either an ear piece or a helmet-like device such as those used for virtual reality or 'recall' experiences in which a device softly triggers the desired information through the correct neural path. In surrogate types, the wetware brain can be controlled in real time from a remote source. Efficiency in these types of models have not yet been perfected. The flesh is constructed to flush and bleed and produce the necessary liquids in order to pass and function as human. Replicants are built to the specific age and look to how they are desired, the flesh does not age or grow, These cells are programmed to repair themselves twice as efficiently, leaving them to heal faster than an organic. However due to the materials, the flesh-layer is expected to deteriorate in 10-20 years. Replicants are capable of eating and drinking. The nature of their digestive system does not extract nutrients from the materials consumed, but breaks down and burns them for energy. They do not have a need to urinate or defecate unless over encumbered. Though this has mostly been worked out in older generations, new generation replicants still show a reactive eyeshine effect from time to time. It looks similar to the red-eye flash from a camera, or the tapetum lucidum in certain organic animals. This only occurs at certain angles of light hitting the eyes, more prevalent on camera feeds than in real life. |
programming CELLULAR COMPLEX Comprises of the cellular structure, artificial DNA, to maintain and create the complexity of different cells in the replicant body. MEMORY COMPLEX For full immersion, replicants are imprinted with full complex cognitive renders of organic subjects. These renders are usually tweaked to a degree or patched with other renders to make a unique combination of false memories, behaviors, and personalities - however, the more work done on them the less stable the complex remains. At least, certain memories of the extraction process are deleted and tweaked in order to maintain blending and prevent the possibility of self awareness; however these memories have been known to come back with the right stimuli. BLENDING COMPLEX Though they are synthetically made, both their biological makeup and inherent programming will read them as (false)positive organic by other synthetics and scanning systems. Apart from cutting one open, they are nearly visibly foolproof and fully able to be integrated into organic society. Like id.OS synthetics, they are fine tuned into being completely unaware of their artificiality unless directly exposed to it. |
